Race Ready

Embracing the Leap into the Unknown

Starting a new chapter in any pursuit, no matter how prepared you are can still feel overwhelming. This tension is magnified in endurance sports like long-distance triathlon, where physical and mental limits are tested relentlessly. Against the backdrop of iconic retirements (including triathlon legends Jan Frodeno and Daniela Ryf), ‘Race Ready’ shifts the spotlight to the next generation, capturing the raw dedication required to step onto the sport’s biggest stages.

Passing the Torch

The series follows two rising athletes:

Jan Stratmann, preparing for his debut at Challenge Roth, one of the world’s most grueling triathlons.

Anne Reischmann, gearing up for her first Ironman World Championship in Nice (2024).

Both have transitioned from Olympic-distance racing to long-distance events, a leap akin to mastering a new craft. Through their journeys, we explore the mindset shifts, sacrifices, and meticulous preparation that define the road to becoming ‘race ready’.

Beyond the Finish Line

While centered on elite athletes, the series resonates with universal themes:

– The courage to pursue a daunting dream.

– The mental resilience required to thrive under pressure.

– The often-overlooked role of community and support systems.

By blending intimate storytelling with broader reflections on human ambition, ‘Race Ready’ reframes the experience of these athletes as a metaphor for any transformative challenge. Reminding viewers that readiness isn’t just physical, but deeply holistic.
