PDP Gaming – Victrix Pro BFG: Influencer Campaign
Naturally when introducing a pro level product there‘s a temptation to focus purely on performance and statistics. We felt like this approach ignores personal experience and excludes detail on how the controller enhances the feeling playing their favourite games on an individual level.
Our hope was that by focusing on a collection of individual experience, we could demonstrate how the PDP Victrix Pro BFG really is the one controller to rule them all!
In response to this thought we created a campaign called The Person/The Play. This was a 3 phase influencer campaign spanning Twitch, TikTok and UGC.
In the first phase we recruited 8 mid tier gaming influencers, each with their own gaming preferences. Each of the 8 Influencers hosted a livestream on Twitch where they introduced the controller to their fans; along with a dedicated camera angle showcasing the controller in use throughout their stream.
For the second phase was focused on TikTok, the 8 mid tier creators made a TikTok video showing off the Victrix BFG controller plus some highlight gameplay from their `Twitch stream. The tiktok videos then ended with a stitch point for their followers and our nano creators.
The third phase of the campaign, picks up where the influences left off and featured creative TikTok response videos. The aim was to create a cascading effect where people would feel inspired and contribute with their own examples of amazing gameplay and personal flair utilising the Victrix Pro BFG.
