BMW Procar M1

To commemorate the return of the BMW M1, I was asked to produce an Interview led feature about the cars, featuring some of the owners and drivers who raced them. In addition to this a complimentary hero film was also produced, filled with all the sights and sounds from the weekend was also produced.

During the late 70s to early 80s, The BMW M1 Procar championship brought together some of the best racing talents from formula 1, Touring Car and World sports car championship. Contested solely with BMW M1s, the championship was a feature race during F1 Grand Prix weekends.

Reminiscent of the old automotive mantra, ‘Win on Sunday, sell on Monday’, BMW also sold road legal versions of the BMW M1, promising the same race winning performance. The M1’s notoriety increased thanks to the legendary BMW ‘Art Car’ collaboration with Andy Warhol, where he famously hand painted a BMW M1.
